INTEGRATION OF A GENERAL PRACTICE DOCTOR WITH MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE DURING THE COVID - 19 PANDEMIC
Abstract
The problem of integrating the activities of a general practitioner with a mental health service during the COVID-19 pandemic is considered. The features of the activities of a general practitioner as a “first contact physician” for his patients are discussed, as well as the problems that he may encounter when treating patients with mental disorders. All this indicates the need to integrate a general practitioner with the mental health service and its corresponding psychiatric qualifications. Ways are proposed to address the integration of primary care with psychiatric care.
