STUDY OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE ON THE DESTIGMATIZATION OF MENTAL ILLNESS
Abstract
This paper presents examples of destigmatization in different countries. The analysis describes the international experience of combating discrimination stigmas in different countries with different socio-economic conditions. Neuropsychiatric disorders are the second leading cause of disease burden in the Region after cardiovascular diseases. They account for 19.5% of all years of life lost as a result of disability (DALYs – ye ars of life lost due to illness and premature death).
The purpose of the study: to study the experience of integrating programs for the destigmatization of mentally ill people in different countries.
