MACULAR DEGENERATION, MACULAR TEAR A RARE CASE FROM CLINICAL PRACTICE

The presented clinical case is described in domestic and foreign literature, but a positive result was achieved only after surgical treatment (vitrectomy). A similar case with such a positive result has not been previously described. Retinal diseases are the second most common cause of blindness and low vision in children, accounting for 15.6-29.6% of all cases in economically developed countries or regions. The most severe visual impairments are observed in children with macular lesions.
The causes of the onset and development of diseases have not yet been precisely established. The theory of hereditary predisposition is the most widespread
The clinical picture of the disease is very diverse, but the most common symptoms are a gradual decrease in visual acuity. It is assumed that without appropriate treatment, a positive result in the above observation is possible, due to prolonged edema and hematoma of the neuroepithelium in the parafovea, as a result of which there was an independent comparison of the edges of the gap and regeneration. After conservative treatment, visual acuity in both eyes improved, with ophthalmoscopy: a decrease in focal changes. At the moment, the child is being observed in dynamics.
